Overview

Area Supervisors work under the guidance and leadership of their assigned Account Manager.  They are responsible for the supervision and management of cleaning staff in assigned accounts/buildings to ensure customer satisfaction as well as train and coaching of front line field employees.

Schedule/Pay:

The schedule varies, but will typically start at 4:00pm and be full time hours.

The pay range is $14.00 - $15.00 based on experience.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct work assignments for a specific region or number of accounts in which they are responsible.
  • Work with crews to fulfill the cleaning specification at a maximum performance level.
  • Manager or organize specialty and Tag Work projects as needed.
  • Maintains cleanliness of facility by performing various cleaning duties and building inspections.
  • Conduct monthly building inspections to assure high quality.
  • Participates in the start-up processes for new accounts as required.
  • Order janitorial supplies and tools/equipment for their assigned account.
  • Assist with addressing and resolving customer requests that may occur with guidance from the Account Manager or Director of Operations.
  • Work with HR Team regularly to assist in new employee hiring/onboarding process.
  • Coach and discipline employees where appropriate with guidance from Manager and Human Resources.
  • Assist with conducting and organizing employee training programs for new and current staff.
  • Work closely with HR to achieve optimal performance from employees in regards to training, worker’s compensation, recruiting, disciplinary action, etc.
  • Complete paperwork as needed and monitor and analyze payroll and budget reports.
  • Work with Payroll and HR Departments daily to electronically correct payroll and document accidents, attendance, etc. via computer or electronic programs.
  • Provides excellent level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Ensures all policies and procedures of the company are followed.
  • Reports to work on time and works overtime as required and if required to travel for business: maintains a valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience

High School diploma or GED preferred and 2 to 3 years related experience. Ability to read, write and speak English is requirement of this position. Ability to read, write and speak Spanish a plus.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

This position requires demonstrated cleaning experience in all aspects of commercial cleaning as well as understand of commercial cleaning methods, techniques, cleaning supplies and equipment. Must have excellent communication, leadership, organization, and problem solving skills. Adequate word processing and computer skills are required. Knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook preferred.
